There limited parking spaces for patients and visitors in the pay-on-foot car park on Ashton Road and in the pay and display car park in front of Medical Unit 2. There are also some 20 minute short stay parking spaces in front of entrances for picking up and dropping off.
There are parking spaces for people with blue badges in both car parks, and in front of the main entrances. Blue badge holders do not need to pay for parking at the hospital, but the badge must be displayed in the vehicle.
Please be aware that Ashton Road is owned by Lancashire County Council. All vehicles parked on Ashton Road should abide by council parking regulations to avoid a parking fine.
The pay and display machine (Medical Unit 2) only takes coins and does not give change, however change is available from the General Office during normal working hours.
The pay on foot machines (Ashton Road) will accept debit and credit cards, as well as notes and coins.

There are cycle racks located at the Centenary Building entrance and outside Medical Unit 1.
The General Offices at each of our main hospitals are able to process the reimbursement of travel costs on presentation of proof of income related benefit and your appointment letter.

On site facilities
The hospital restaurant is on the lower ground floor of the Centenary Building and open seven days a week, 8am – 3pm & 5.15pm – 7pm. The food served in the restaurant is homemade and locally sourced.

A shop and tea bar operated by the Royal Voluntary Service is near the main outpatients department and open Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4pm. A wide range of items are available including cards, magazines, newspapers, as well as hot and cold snacks and drinks.
There is a small café serving a selection of sandwiches and snacks as well as Costa Coffee in the main Centenary Building entrance. The café is open Monday – Friday, 8am – 5.30pm.
Personal listening devices for people with a hearing impairment are available at most clinic reception areas. These areas display the standard RNID purple notice.
General Office is in Medical Unit 1 and open Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
